The purpose of
BEREAN GOOD SHEPHERD FELLOWSHIP
is to support and enhance:
- Service to Christ and Humanity.
- Daily necessities - food, shelter & clothing.
- Social-emotional and spiritual well-being.
- Family empowerment and education.
- Safe & nurturing environment - God First, generosity, honesty, kindness, fiscal integrity, and transparency.
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION: Rev. Albertha Lunn, President - Sunday School, Bible Study & Prayer Meeting, Vacation Bible School
The Department of Christian Education is the teaching arm of the Church. As born again believers, we have been commissioned by God to "go and make disciples." Our mission is to encourage, empower, and equip all members to fulfill their God determined purpose through classes, trainings, and studies made available to them.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children and adults learn Christian doctrine and what it means to be part of God's family through exploring families in the Bible and learning how today's faith families care for each other as they grow and build loving family relationships.
BIBLE STUDY & PRAYER MEETING
The purpose of Bible study is to collectively grasp an understanding of God through His Word. The association of Bible study and prayer is an important one. Christians study the Bible with a desire to know God better. Prayer is talking to God through Jesus Christ.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School is a summer outreach program focused on giving children in the community a fun and creative place to learn about the Bible and to build strong relationships with others.

Deaconess Donna Rice, President
The Bereavement Ministry provides counsel and comfort to families in the loss of a love one. Workshops and follow-up care is provided to assist in healthy and spiritual healing.
COURTESY GUILD
Mother Sue Batton, President
The mission of the Courtesy Guild is to show the love of Christ to our members and visitors by providing a warm and friendly atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable and accepted.
CULINARY
Deacon Nyoka Hill, Liaison
The Culinary Ministry is a team dedicated to preparing and serving meals to members, visitors and the community for a variety of occasions, including workshops, funerals, weddings, and meetings.
DANCE
Deaconess Donna Rice, President
The Dance Ministry's purpose is to magnify the name of the Lord through dance and expressive movement. "As praise dancers, we are committed to offering our temples as living sacrifices to prepare an atmosphere of worship to the glory of God."
DEACON BOARD
Deacon Joe Carter, Chairman
The mission of the Deacon Board is to assist the Pastor and members and to care for the church building. Deacons minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the church and community.
DEACONESS BOARD
Deaconess Clementine Watkins, President
The mission of the Deaconess Board is to assist the Pastor and Deacon Board in the spiritual work of the church. Deaconesses are women commissioned to the ministry of love and service.
GIRL SCOUTS
The mission of the Berean Girl Scouts is to boost courage, confidence and character in girls in order to make the world a better place. The vision is to be the premier leadership experience for girls in the Northwest and Park Heights communities.
MEDIA MINISTRY

The mission of the Media Ministry is to equip and enable minintries with technology as a means of worship and outreach in spreading the Word and Gospel of Christ.
MEN'S MINISTRY
Min. Lamont Hill, President
The mission of the Men's Ministry is to support the vision of the Pastor and to ensure that the men of Berean are equipped with the tools to live and serve a full Christian life.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Min. Tyrone Nelson, Music Director
The Music Ministry enriches the worship experience through song, utilizing all genres of church music. Music is a valuable tool, a flexible vehicle, and a precious resource to enable people to praise and worship God.
NURSES
Deaconess Frances Watkins, President
The mission of the Nurses Ministry is to provide comfort, assistance, and first aid as needed to members and visitors of the church.
TRUSTEES
Trustee Nyoka Hill, President
The mission of the Trustee Ministry is to manage the financial and material resources and responsibilities of the church with spiritual sensitivity and trustworthiness.
USHERS
Deaconess Delores Kenny, President
The mission of the Ushers Ministry is to greet and welcome members and visitors to the church and to assist with any special needs. The Usher Ministry assists with the collection of tithes and offerings and promotes the appropriate atmosphere within the sanctuary.
YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY

The mission of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry is to provide discussion of the Word of God to develop a deeper understanding and to encourage young adults to use their experiences, vitality and vision to aide the church and to be agents of change in the world.
