Rev. Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr.
Rev. Dr. Lunn, Sr., a native of Baltimore, MD, is the Pastor of Berean Baptist Church of Baltimore City. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Morgan State University; a Master's in Education from Coppin State College (now University); a Master's in Theology from St. Mary's Seminary and University; and a Doctorate in Ministry from Howard University, Washington, D.C.
Dr. Lunn is a multi-faceted educator with the unique ability to teach on many different levels. He is a much sought after seminary and workshop leader known throughout the city of Baltimore, nationwide and even internationally, having spoken the word as far away as the Bahamas. He is currently on the academic staff of St. Mary's Seminary and University. Dr. Lunn is the Dean of the United Baptist College and Seminary. On March 1, 2008, Rev. Lunn was honored to have been elected as the 1st Vice President of the New England Missionary Baptist Congress of Christian Education. After 31 years of teaching, he retired from the Howard County Public Schools in 2003.
Dr. Lunn's numerous professional and community affiliations include, but are no means limited to: The Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, The Baptist Ministers Conference of Baltimore & Vicinity currently serving as President, The NAACP, The United Baptist Missionary Convention, The African American History and Life Association, The Maryland State Teachers Association, and The Howard County Educational Association.
Dr. Lunn is married to the former Natasha Jones. He is the father of five children and the grandfather of four.

Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
God has truly smiled on me, showing me favor that I never thought was meant for me. I have always loved the Lord and served Him. When I prayed for a God fearing and loving husband, I did not know God would send me a preacher and wonderful pastor. He didn't introduce himself to me as Rev. Dr. John A. Lunn Sr., but I knew he loved church. I asked him why he didn't let me know he was a Pastor. His response was that he didn't want to chase me away before I got to know him. God sends you what you need. I am glad to know and to love him.
I also want to thank Berean Baptist church for continuing to love, respect and support me as your First Lady and for allowing me to be me. I just have to say, "Thank God for allowing me to be in the battlefield with you." You have been serving for over 100 years in the Pimlico Community with a rich history of success. I thank God for calling Rev. Dr. John A. Lunn, Sr. to pastor Berean these past 40+ years. His ongoing mission is truly to serve the Lord.
As I close, I want to again thank you for being so welcoming, kind and loving to the pastor and me. May God continually bless and keep you.
